Digital Manga’s Osamu Tezuka Kickstarter for getting Unico, AtomCat and Trition of the Sea was fully funded early this morning. This makes me a happy little manga fan right now, I’m about £88 shorter, but sure as heck looking forward to all that Manga next year <3

Speaking of Unico, Tezuka fans, take note! Digital Manga Press’s currently running a Kickstarter for Osamu Tezuka’s UNICO manga to be printed in full color. So excited for this that I just had to do a little bit of Unico art! ^o^
So excited for Unico, already donated to the kickstarter myself, Digital Manga are now also trying to raise the cash for AtomCat and Trition of the Sea too! Everyone who loves classic Manga should get behind this : )

Hey Europe! That’s one too many fingers!
Honestly, I think America has the best boxart for Sonic 3.
I’m not just saying that because Tails is on it, really.
Actually it seems EVERYONE got the fingers wrong, mostly because the Japanese boxart opted for 5 too! (because in Japan, four fingers suggests you had your 5th chopped off by a yakuza as I recall?)
Maybe it’s just me but I find the American boxart REALLY noisy, and the mish mash of colours a bit much for a boxart. I’m normally kind of okay with American Classic Sonic, but I hate the way they drew EVERYONE in this scene.
American sonic has that weird cat ears style with the kink, the contrast on his shading is too harsh, Tails feels like an afterthought, Robotnik is off model even though all they had to draw was his face.
Also, what IS that Pink leaf poking out of the bush Knuckles is hiding in? D:
I love Europe’s best, but that’s because Sonic on that cover looks like Richard Elson’s Sonic design from that era. Plus Sonic gets to LEAP into the cover rather than standing around posing (with GIANT HANDS)
I do find it amusing that Japan and Europe are like KNUCKLES and America only shows his eyes and is all LOL SEEKRIT NEW CHARACTER (but it wasn’t, secret I mean)
Birthday art drawn for a friend. I can’t help but feel the trotting stance came out a little weird, I tried to draw it best I could but it still feels uneven (maybe back leg is too long?). Also drawn in Sai, so wobbly lines ahoy! x_x (some say the wobblyness lends appeal to my work… but it always reminds me of the physical issue I seem to have with keeping steady lines)
Of course it could also be that planning to draw and colour a picture in 4 hours was a bad idea. I need to learn to plan these things better ^_^;
